Quote of the week

"Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood"

                    Marie Curie

(This week I give you a little hint on the next episode, but only a little background, not more)

We humans are very curious. When there is something we can´t explain, we want an answer, whether it´s real or not. By trying and observing phenomenon we search for a pattern, some rules our brain can follow, because that´s what we were born with. Science though is something that is already there, often we just can´t understand it because we don´t have the tools to do so.

We don´t have to be scientists to experience this instinct: When we meet a new person that doesn´t look like what we define "normal" we instinctively categorize this person as dangerous. This doesn´t mean we are racists, often this effect comes and goes between seconds, instead it kept us alive while our evolution, enabling us to recognize danger earlier to avoid it. When we see though that there is nothing to worry, we just go on with whatever we were doing before as nothing happened.

Same works with those tasks we procrastinate on for such a lot time because we just fear something we don´t want to do. Of course life isn´t easy, but often it´s just our impression. When we understand the meaning and reasons behind our projects and we do enough research, we will wonder ourselves why we were worrying so much. With the right background we not only make wiser choices, we also learn more about life so that we are better prepared for many other challenges that will come.

The most important aspect remains our health: We can be so much more relaxed and open minded when we know what´s going on, because this gives us the safety and takes away the fear which caused this bad stress turning it into good one. This lastly means that we accept challenges more easily and with more enthusiasm, which is always a perfect source of motivation and happiness.

I hope you enjoyed this little preparation and are excited now for the next episode where we will dive deeper into this topic, so definitely check that out!!
